Both IE 8 and firefox won't load certain sites, they just come up blank saying done it's not many but enough to be annoying and refreshing doesn't help. It's not my network as my other pc loads them fine. I've tried all the usual things, reseting all, including winsock, DNS flush. uninstalling and reinstalling IE. all to no avail, any ideas anyone?
If connected via Ethernet, have you tried disconnecting the working PC and connecting the problematic PC to that cable?

Hi Dwarf, the okay pc is wired to the net , the problematic one is on WIFI and can't reach the router through cable as is, I guess I could take it there and plug it in, is it worth trying?

    Hi Qmass55,

Definitely worth a try. If you find that it works when directly connected but not when connected wirelessly, it will give us an area to troubleshoot.

Dwarf, if I google Tesco Kinect then click on the Tesco sponsered link at the top of the list it goes blank and says done at the bottom, but if I put in Tesco direct, I can go on to that site.
