No, I don't see how you could. On my laptop I will never need to edit a PDF so it fits my read only needs.

The default PDF viewer in chrome is terrible.
Do yourself a favor & download the free PDF-XChange Viewer

Tracker Software Products :: PDF-XChange Viewer, Free PDF Reader

After installing you have to enter about: plugins into the address bar & disable the Chrome PDF viewer.
This is how a PDF opened in Opera or Firefox & Chrome looks with PDF-XChange.

I am quite a highly OCD and lazy person and currently I noticed that everyday late at night when I’m doing some work I leave my Google chrome split to the right of the screen and some document on the left side. When I open the browser in the morning I have to manually re-size the window length and...

Google Chrome took over as default browser and I couldn't change
I tried what I found doing a search on setting a default browser (I wanted I.E. 9) and had it set in default programs. But that didn't make any difference, Chrome still was set as the default. I found a post about changing "Chromehtml" in the registry to htmlfile and that would do it. I changed...
