    IE issues

I have 2 issues that I can't seem to fix.
    1. I have weather bug as a gadget on my computer. When I installed IE9 I now have a white box around the icon. It will go away when move the mouse over the icon but I would like for it not to have a box at all.

    2. I have a secure website for beta testing I go to. With any version of IE I am not able to join the website. I can put the User ID and password in but it will not accept them. I have tired removing the cache but nothing seems to help.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You didn't say if you can log in with any other browsers or computers. In general, many IE problems can be solved by doing a reset: Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Reset

I no issues with Chrome or Firefox. I like to use IE that is why I am trying to get it to work.

I did a reset and still was not able to get the website to load.

If you post a link we can try it to see if anyone else has the same problem with the site you are having trouble with in IE only.

I would love to but it is a developmental forum and I would have to get permission.

Is there a way wipe all IE off my system the install as if it had never been there?

IE9 made a curious purple halo around my network gadget. Also rendered its border in different colors one on the top and bottom and a second one on the sides. Actually looked kind of OK. When I dumped IE9 all went back to normal. 9 probably needs a few more minutes in the oven.......

Don't know about that. But it is possible to uncheck it from "Programs and Features", then reboot. At least it will look like it's completely gone. If that doesn't work you could try some windows repair tasks like:
    1) At command prompt>sfc /scannow
    2) In Explorer c: (properties), General/Disk Cleanup
    3) In Explorer c: (properties), Tools/Error Checking
