    WLM 2011 uninstall

I don't mind doing this. In fact, I've done it before to fix it. But why does it constantly (well, every so often) need to be uninstalled and reinstalled? I've noticed that mail receipts don't seem to work. Perhaps that will be fixed with the reinstall. Is there an update on the horizon--WLM 2011 sure needs one! (end minor rant)

Oh--and can someone please provide me with the link to install only WLM? Not interested in the other Live stuff.

    Thanks.

    Download details: Windows Live Mail

claims to be only for live mail, but I didn't verify.

MSN and by extension live stuff has always been a tad problematic for me, I've actually quit using it. I've buggered all my buddies into get steam so I can just add them to my steam friends.

Thanks, Maguscreed. That's correct. But you have to uncheck a lot of stuff. It installed a lot of things anyway, even though I checked only Live Mail. We'll see how long this install lasts before it requires another uninstall/reinstall.

Well you need the whole Windows Live base framework before live mail can even work. So that's probably what all that extra garbage was.

If you uninstall Windows Live, it lets you chose which components you want to uninstall. So if you get more then you want, that could be a way to get rid of the rest.

There's a thought. I'll give that a try and report back.

Also, I don't do any feeds or newsgroups, but when I back up WLM, there are items in those two groups that are backed up. I have no idea how they got there. Can the feeds and newsgroups be removed, or, at least, disabled?

    Thanks.
