Google

Google has established itself as my default search enging.....I can't get rid of it. The delete option is not available as it is with other engines. Help!

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1, LinuxMint 9 LTS x64, Debian 6, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x64
 
 


You don't mention which browser you are using, so I'll assume IE.

Go to Manage Add-Ons in the browser, and change the search option there, like this"

I've already been there....the options are not available for google....I can't change the default and I can't delete it.

Have you got any alternatives listed there? If not, you can't change the default unless there is an alternative to change it to.

Windows7 Pro 64bit SP-1; Windows XP Pro 32bit
 
 


#1- Highlight Google
#2- The buttons appear to remove etc.
#3- Find more Search providers.
To find more search engines click here. If only Google is in the listing at #1 you will need to click here to find a replacement.
Then you can disable or remove Google.
