Ken: The crashes seem to have stopped. I awoke this a.m. to find FF crashed overnight. Restarted it and left the pc running all day (pretty normal for me) and no crashes in the past 14 hrs.

YupYup: Yes. Whenever FF crashes I send in a report. I installed your Glass code this a.m. Perhaps the cleaner code you wrote fixed it? Its gotta be better than the wheezing hodgepodge I bunged together.

I'm only vaguely familiar with hashes. I guess its time for me to learn a bit more about them. Thanks for them!

I can't see how even a complete mess of CSS could cause a crash as incorrect CSS is just ignored, if you post a link to the crash report i could look into it. To check the hash i use Hashtab, have a look it will explain everything.

    Sigh.

Any idea why HashTab would not be adding the hash tab to the properties box? Ran Hashtab as an admin, UAC is disabled, and took ownership of xul.dll. Still no hash tab under properties.

Edit: Could it be because I'm running x64 and it is 32 bit?

No idea, which file did you download?

I uninstalled it, redownloaded it, and this time it gave me a x64 version! I have the hash tab under "properties" now.

Hashes match. My xul file must be fine.

I don't know why it wouldn't work the first time. Perhaps it gives you both the x86 and x64 versions in the one download, and when I uninstalled the 32 bit version it left the field clear for the x64 to install correctly. I dunno.

But now its working, and it'll come in handy in the future I'm sure.
