Any source for "Live Mail" [client] Themes?? hi contrast need Friends
An older gentleman that I am helping has failing eyesight that causes a lot of mistakes etc in using his laptop with Windows 7. He is another one of those folks [understandably] that loved Outlook Express and DESPISES Live Mail, mainly because of the vague, pale, low-contrast deathly-palor colors that are used in the thing [kinda like the color scheme of this forum come to think of it LOL ].
So is there a source for some themes to change those colors etc into something with good definition and contrast? I googled the terms several different ways and came up empty handed thus far....

Deacon you're right about that.
I read the thread you referenced - I already have set fonts for the reading window and it does help a bit once the mail message is open. But do you know of any way to alter the colors employed, and/or to increase the font size at the summary/overview level so that the Subject/sender/ detail is more readable in list form? I can find no way to do either of those which is what sent me looking for a Theme change. I find nothing whatsoever about alternate themes so I am leaning toward switching him over to T'bird. Yep, been there also. Has nothing to do with Live Mail client other than indirectly. and, unfortunately as some have noticed, the typical 'Ctrl +' zoom function is not available in the package.
its an aside, but I actually think Win XP's appearance controls were superior to Windows 7 - Windows 7 combines functions I guess in an effort to make things simpler, but the descriptives don't really tip you off. You have limited choices of choosing contrasting colors for individual widgets & fonts, for instance, and the control for Font sizes has somewhat unpredictable consequences on other things like icons and window sizes & colors.
The pervasive use of pale colors in all things nuevo Microsoft are very hard for someone with weak vision [like blue font on a pale blue background...... ] | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP DC7600, HP DC7600[2], HP DC7100, Samsung NC10 OS Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows 7 Pro 32-bit, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, Windows XP Home SP3 CPU Pentium 4 3.2GHz, Pentium 4 3.4GHz 64bit, Atom, Motherboard Dunno Memory 4GB matched, 1GB, 2.5GB, 4.0 GB Graphics Card Geforce 8400 GS and others Sound Card RealteK ALC260 and others Monitor(s) Displays Asus HD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Cooling We Be Cool Hard Drives WD Caviar 640gb SATA |
