Here is an interesting list of browser' statistics. Whether the statistics can be trusted is of course another story:)

Browser usage share varies from place to place as well as through time. In China and South Korea, Internet Explorer (IE) has approx 90% usage share, whereas in Germany and Indonesia, Firefox has approx 60% and 80% usage share, while in Belarus and Ukraine, Opera is the most popular browser with approx 50% and 35% usage share. Chrome is the most popular browser in Tunisia and Albania with respectively 47% and 50% usage share. In Europe, Firefox replaced IE as the leading browser in December 2010, with 38% usage share. IE's recent decline in Europe is thought to be explained by IE users switching to Chrome.

    Their disclaimer explains it:

"W3Schools is a website for people with an interest for web technologies. These people are more interested in using alternative browsers than the average user. The average user tends to the browser that comes preinstalled with their computer, and do not seek out other browser aternatives.
These facts indicate that the browser figures above are not 100% realistic. Other web sites have statistics showing that Internet Explorer is a more popular browser.
Anyway, our data, collected from W3Schools' log-files, over a five year period, clearly shows the long and medium-term trends."

I sometimes forget to read the disclaimer. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I think to the download the latest IE9 RC. My purpose in googling concerning it is due mainly to my interests about security. I usually wait for the RTM but after watching several videos on Microsoft's IE9 Home Page I think to give it a try.

Several forums guesstimate that the release date IE9 RTM is March 24th.
