Firefox settings and Win 7 reformat?

    Hello,

thinking of reformatting my win 7 drive and doing a clean reinstall. Is there a way I can save all my firefox settings and add ons or will they still be active from on line when I download the latest FF install?

I know I have to download all the latest win 7 updates and drivers just like I did a year ago when I first installed win 7.

    Thanks!

go to the search box and type
    %appdata%
    and hit enter.
copy the mozilla folder to your back up
Paste it into the new installation the same way.
This is how I've been migrating my settings for several reformats now. It even keeps your passwords and form data.

If you are going to download the new version of firefox apply it to this installation first, or you could have some add on issues.

Get MozBackup It will recover all your settings, bookmarks, addons, etc.

Wow they actually make an app for it?
seems kind of redundant to make an app that just copies the appdata folder.

hello, we saved the mozilla folder and now we have the new win 7 and installed firefox same version we used to have.

so you said copy and paste "it". copy what? paste it where? It would help to know those 2 things.

    Thanks!

right Click and choose copy on the backup folder you saved
    %appdata% then enter in search
that will open the right folder for you to paste into again.
you will need to right click on the open space in roaming when you paste, if asked to overwrite answer yes.
