    IE 9 crashes

I have just downloaded the latest version of IE9 yesterday from beautyoftheweb.com ..

But it isn't as what I expected it to be..

It constanly crashes at whatever website I go.. facebook, mashable etc..

Occasionally after the crash, it will state that " Windows Data Execution Prevention detected an add-on trying to use system memory incorrectly. This can be caused by a malfunction or a malicious add-on. "

    Any help is appreciated =)

    Hi there,

Seems like DEP settings is trying to block the IE add-ons.

    1. Click on Start and Right Click on Computer and go to Properties
    2. The click on Advance system settings.

    3. There click on Advance Tab and click on Settings under Performance session.

    4. Click on Data Execution Prevention.

    5. Make sure you have selected “Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only
    6. Then click Apply and click OK and reboot your system

If that fails then go to Tools | Internet Options | Advance | and click on Reset

    Hope this helps,
    Captain

Mine is already ticked under "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only” .

I tried resetting the internet options but it still resulted in the same issue. =X

Yes! For Firefox you could download a version and IE9 it's a different version.
