    Outlook frequent send/receive

I am running Win 7 ultimate 64bit and Office 2007. Outlook is configured with two email accounts. One is a POP3/SMTP and there are no problems. The other is a Hotmail (Q.com) account using Outlook Connector. This account executes a send/receive about every minute and I can find no way to change this. It happens in both normal mode and Outlook safe mode. I have the frequency set to 30 minutes and the POP3 abides by it. The Hotmail, alas, has a mind of its own. Is there a solution for this? Thanks in advance.

Either I have been offensive to "the community" or there is no solution. Thank you M$.

I don't think you offended anyone - more likely no one knows the answer to your question. FWIW, Hotmail accounts in Windows Live Mail appear to follow the check mail interval setting. I don't have much experience with Outlook Connector, but from what I can remember syncing is pretty much automatic.

    Oh well

I guess it is a case of MS hitting on MS and there you go. I am amazed that they would want/allow by default such seeming nonsence. Thank you very much for your response.

I stopped using Outlook for my personal accounts because the Connector was so bad. WLM 2001 works so much better, and still gives me Exchange like features across three computers. It handles my IMAP account much better as well.
