Hi All, I have 1 wired PC & 1 Laptop, both Win7 Home Prem. both use W Live Mail to send / read using a Gmail account. Netgear router DGN2000 with NAT.
    -
Q1. If I sent you an email from both PC's, could you tell they came from the same location.
    -
Q2. If I sent you an email from wired PC, reboot my router ( changes IP Address ) then send one from the Laptop. could you tell they came from the same location.
    -
Q3. If I sent you an Email from either PC using WLM & Gmail account, then another from either PC, using my AOL account, could you tell they came from the same location.

Location? meaning your physical location (long & lat)? if so

Depends on how much effort someone wants to put into it. ie law enforcement can tell you what you had for breakfast, while the casual usser could not tell where you live.

    Hi Roderunner

You can fool ALL of the people SOME of the time
You can fool SOME of the people ALL of the time.
But you can't fool ALL of the people ALL of the time.

I do wonder about the reasons behind your questions......

Yes they can find you, and I, like JMH, wonder why you need to, or why it matters.
