    Outlook Security Warning

    Hi there,

For the last couple of days, every time I start up Outlook 2010 and it goes to automatically Send/Receive I get a Internet Security Warning pop up which states:
The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified.

The target principal name is incorrect.

Do you want to continue using this server?
If I click yes, everything carries on as normal, but is this OK. When I view certificate, is says it's issued to "*.pop.mail.yahoo.com", my POP3 settings are "pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk".

It gives me the option to install certificate, should I do this? Is this safe? I'm just extra cautious as there's a story on the BBC site about some data hack from Iran that tried to control certificates for yahoo, MS and others!

    Thanks!

    NL

    Hi NL,

Please try to delete your account and reset it again to let yahoo chose the POP server for you..
Warning: This may(will) delete your personal folders.

I'm not sure if yours is related or not but it sounds odd.

    Thanks for the replies chaps.

Opened Outlook this morning and it's not popping up, so hopefully this has been sorted. The rumours of it coming from Iran were a bit full on though!

Deleting the account wouldn't have been ideal, but wouldn't have been the end of the world. The pop/smtp settings I have are what yahoo recommend!
