Windows 7: Passwords in IE9

Found a Solution

I had apparently told IE9 at one point not to remember the password for a specific site. So every time I went there, it remembered my username but not the password.

Tried to find a solution, and came to this post, but didn't want to erase the passwords for all other sites.

I went into the Tools, Internet Options, Content, Auto Complete, Settings and unchecked "Ask me before saving Passwords". I then logged into the site. Logged back out and tried logging in again. The password was retained.

I then went back into the above options and REchecked "Ask me before saving Paswords".

Much less destructive solution than erasing all settings.

Hope this helps someone else!

Thanks for the tip. As I mentioned in post #3, IEPassView is intended to provide selective control over username/password combinations saved by IE. But some antivirus programs give a false positive when they see it.
