Can I.E.8 be removed before installing 9

    IE8 can be removed and then IE9 installed without problems, already tried it myself. The end, thank you for reading and come again :P

    Hmm. I guess there is always a way to amputate your system. I thought he had slipstreamed it with e.g. vLite.

    We know you can disable it, but that's not the same as "removing" it. The files are still there

    I guess he wen't through the entire system and removed every file associated with IE8, then decided to install IE9

    IE cannot be removed, lol, just turned off.

    Turned off != removed

    Edit: It's like turning off a light and saying that it's gone

    With vLite you can actually remove it. But who wants to go thru such trouble. And what is the gain?

    Well I guess I remove my electronics and computers every night and reinstall them every morning.... I see the light
