    Ask Toolbar

I always keep an eye out for unwanted add ons when installing anything, but somehow this toolbar got past me. I found nothing in Programs And Features, but there was a folder labeled Search Toolbar in the Program Files(x86) folder, which had an uninstaller, which I used, yet the toolbar remains on FF.

I'm a bit surprised that none of my malware detectors have squawked about it, but regardless of how it got there, how do I get rid of it...Not just hidden, but gone?

None of my security softwares detected that Ask Toolbar is malware/virus untilll now. It's not listed in Programs And Feautures? If is it,I'll suggest you to delete it with Revo Uninistaller.

No, it is not, nor has it been listed in Programs And Features, I uninstalled it with the uninstaller in the program folder...assuming that folder was for the Ask toolbar, since nothing on or in it identified it as such. I simply assumed that the folder and toolbar belonged to each other, because I never intentionally install such things.

Since it is already uninstalled, would Revo be of any further use?

Hmm, maybe I missed it in Programs And Feature, because Revo did show it. It's gone now...thanks.

Revo can't helps you if it's not listed in the list( I think )
Searching for this one ,and got this:
Remove and Delete Ask Toolbar and Its Components From Internet Explorer and Your Computer

    ---------------------
Edit: Just saw that you solved the problem.
    You're welcome! :)

And I thought that Ask was the only foreign toolbar that I had. I then found another...Bing Bar, which I also uninstalled with Revo. I don't know, but I would guess that came with IE9. Now it makes me wonder what I uninstalled from the Search Bar folder, since it didn't get rid of either of those two.

Uninstall it from your add-ons in Firefox as well. Just removing the installers etc does not remove it.
