[chrome]Force pop ups into tabs

Does anyone know of an extension or hidden setting to force all links into tabs. I click on pics or whatever and some appear in a pop up. I don't want that I want tabs. I can do it in Firefox I want to do it in Chrome (using Chrome 11).

I don't want to be pressing Ctrl every time. Also some of the links I need to click, e.g. links in rightmove lead to pages that require Javascript to work and the pop-ups don't have the facility to allow JS and reload.

Thanks
