Yes, way back in Feb of 2011, we were stuck with Chrome 9.0.597. It wasn't until Mar of 2011 that we finally got 10.0.648....and after almost a full month and a half, we have version 11.0.696.

Comparing to IE, we had version 6 in August of 2001. Version 7 in Oct of 2006. Version 8 in March of 2009. And IE9 on March 2011.

It took MS 10 years, and Google 5 months to increase by 4 major versions.
I was merely referring to the point that Google had passed their 6 week mark when updating the stable versions, the rapid increase in version no. doesn't bother me in the slightest, Firefox is going the same way by the years end we'll have Firefox 7

Seems though they are running out of new ideas on features as this update is pretty lackluster compared to previous updates, the new speech to text thing introduced in version 11 is rubbish
