    strange filename length

    Hi,
Quite often when trying to download using IE11 I get a ridiculously long file name such as:
    ?ui=2&ik=acdc3903a8&view=att&th=14663c30ccd1d8f0&attid=0_1&disp=safe&realattid=f_hvzr744c0&zw&saduie =AG9B_P-FtfgnOX5ROWzSvZ3Cu7wM&sadet=1401887667849&sads=593AO88LVcxYWe5fNXIoO-iErus

If I use firefox or chrome I get the normal file name.
    What's going on?:)

    Ta,
    Mike

Am not sure Mike but maybe you can run these first to eliminate any OS probs

    Hi,
Sounds like Malware or virus of some type,
    Post the scan results,
Review Jacee’s instructions to run Adwcleaner here post #7,
Ignore the title of the thread,
    Instant Savings App
Screen shot of the download button to use for Adwcleaner
You can use these free tools to see if they find anything,
Manually Update them before running full scans,
Try not to use your computer while the scans are running, (one at a time of course).
Uncheck the box to Activate the Free trial from the final install options,

This one is the longest up to 4 hours, the others are only about 45 minutes,

    Tracking Links

I'm not sure if this is the case but it might be that you're seeing the full link including the tracking tags.

Personally I use an FF add on to remove them and don't use IE much at all.

So I uninstalled Internet Explorer 11 and reverted back to 10 and all those problems disappeared.
It's obviously something to do with IE11 but I have no idea what.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Mike
