Live Mail SlideShow doesnt work

Hello, I have Windows 7 x64 IE9 and recently upgraded Live Mail to 2011. Loved the old one. First MS email client I've ever chosen to use outside of a workplace. I do not use a livemail ID. I just use as a client for gmail. The new slide show feature for pix RECEIVED is horrid (lord knows what I am sending out!). I already figgered out a workaround for sending (just attach each pic seperately and FORGET about inserting anything inline or using right click on a photo to send. (so much for customization of emails or shortcuts for users).
My issue is that slide show does not work for multiple pictures received. I must literally click open each picture and I even had to shut off a dialog box that kept asking me if I really wanted to open the pic!?! These pix/emails are sent inline by people with more user friendly email clients so pulling the pics out totally edits the email to mush but to have to open EACH photo's thumbnail individually???? The view slide show link is dead. i can only open the pic(s) by clicking on the thumbnail itself. Cannot even multi select first. Only ONE at a time. I heard that maybe IE9 possibly messes with this? Is there a fix coming? Havent seen one 'happy' customer with the new LIVE. not one.
PS: I've set all the security options, etc. properly. Any other suggestions? This is for RECEIVING simple jpgs. All tips I see are for sending.
