Windows 7: IE8 problem with command bar "Page" menu

08 May 2011   #1

IE freezes whenever I try to select the "Page" pulldown menu. The pulldown menus for "Safety" and "Tools" don't do this. Sometimes I'll be able to select an item from "Page" menu, but it eventually freezes. Other times it freezes right away without being able to select anything. (Asus Notebook, Pentium dual-core 2.2GHz, 4gb RAM; Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1)

* Relevant note: I installed and uninstalled IE9 before this started happening.

You could try a reset: Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Reset

Thanks.

I did an IE reset, but neglected to check an additional box about deleting all personal browser settings. So I did it again, this time clicking the box. Everything seems to be working properly now.
