search options

i don't know what the problem is
but every time i do a search, it finds a million things that i don't want,
for example, i typed in the search box (help me make it)
looking for "O C Smith-Help me make it through the night"
how can i change the search option to narrow the search
to only what i type in the box?

TIA! Me

P.S. if anyone has this song or knows where i can get it, this would be great

Windows 7 uses intermediate and deep searching.

An intermediate search uses an index to find objects with the filenames, which gives you a fast search that only uses one criteria - the filename.

A deep search uses several criteria such as the location and when you last saved it. It lets you use Boolean arguments such as AND and OR along with 'greater than' and 'less than'.

You can also use wildcards. To look for the example quoted in your post you could try O*T as the filename to search for. The wildcard represents all and any number of characters between O and T.

You don't set up an intermediate or deep search as such, but you can reconfigure search options by opening Windows Explorer then choose Organize>Folder & Search Options>Search, and then configure your search options from there.

However, a quick look on Google reveals that people are not too impressed with Windows 7's search capabilities.
