    Should I install IE9?

    Should I install IE9?

I have read many issues with IE9 and maybe should stay with IE8 as it has been proven stable.

I have installed it twice and it seems I always go back to IE8 for some reason.
The main reason I keep uninstalling it is because of th elocation of the Favorites Star on the upper right hand corner and can't permently relocate it like IE8.
I just can't see why Microsoft decided to do that but I guess they know all and who am I to change that.

How many of you have upgraded to IE9?
    How many still on IE8?
    IE7?

    Goodaye IGGY
I still use ie8. When I installed ie9 which is twice I reverted back to ie8 mainly because it slowed all of my programmes which could and would take up to a minute to open the programme I wished to access, although ie9 behaved very well for me I will not reinstall it untill I have done a complete system reinstall. But I liked it very much once I got used to the differences. Whether you install ie9 is entirely your decision and as with most new things, well we usually end up getting used to the differences and noticing the sames.

I upgraded and have had no issues so far... I like the new interface, and the location of the buttons doesn't bother me much as I'm a shortcut kind of person anyway

I do not use outdated software. When the new version comes out, I go with it. There's no point in continuing to use software that will eventually be unsupported.

Upgraded when it was released and I've had no issues (other than getting use to a few new features). I like it a lot better than IE8.

I'm waiting for the issues mentioned in the Forums to die down or be addressed in the next update to IE9. The same goes for Windows Live Mail (currently using 2009 w/o the ribbon). It seems there are numerous problems with 2011 made even more numerous when adding IE9.

I'd just go with the likes of Mozilla Firefox 4.

I've experienced a few teething probs with both,
but that was back in day, when they were both in BETA testing..
    both run superbly, now..

'love the way that ie9 grips the GPU memory, to run stuff even faster..
    - super bit of kit..!!

it runs very smoothly on my current rig..
    - go for it, but once you've got it installed, updated and matched to your requirements..
    - resist the temptation to fiddle about with it, as so many people do
    - browsers are meant to be the vehicle - not the message..
