    IE9 RTM CRASHES - EBAY

I have read several items over different websites about this issue.

I can go to ebay without any problems. If I then go to mens fashion, it crashes saying that there has been a problem. Program has to close and then it restarts and loops several times after it says it is looking for a resolution. Eventually it errors out totlally saying that is report it to microsoft. I have tried in compatability mode with out any luck.

I can open my AOL software 9.6 and it opens fine without any issues. I have however noted that emails take a while to open on AOL but I shouldn't think it is related.

I have reinstalled IE9 and the same problems occurs. If I go back to IE8 I have no problems at all.

And I think I know the answer is go back to IE8.

I have another laptop here with VISTA and IE9 and that opens the website fine

Welcome to Seven Forums pacuk01. Have you tried in compatibility mode?

Some Web sites may not behave as expected in Internet Explorer

    Hi,

I have tried that. My laptop is running windows 7 and has IE9 and crashes when going to the male fashions website of ebay. It is fine on rest of ebay. If on that same computer I run AOL software the same website is fine. It also works fine if I revert back to IE8.

On another laptop which is running Windows Vista, and IE9 the same websites are fine.

    Welcome to Seven Forums, pacuk01.

Suggest you try the steps in this Microsoft article to uninstall your current IE9.

How do I install or uninstall Internet Explorer 9?

After uninstalling I'd try running System File Checker just in case a previous install of IE9 messed up some system files. If SFC finds any damaged or corrupt files, run the scan 3 times just to make sure any other dependent files are also repaired/replaced.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Then try installing IE9 using the official download site from the previous Microsoft article. If this doesn't help please post back so we can scratch our heads together and look for another solution. :)

Many thanks for that......but alas it has made no difference. I think I will just revert back to IE8 or use Safari. It would appear that this laptop just doesn't like IE9 and ebay Mens Fashion!!!!
