IE8 - Underscore on file name

Hi, I'm probably in the wrong place and I apologise for that...

But, IE8 is giving me underscores on all file names when I download a file - how do I revert to spaces with no underscores?

Thank you - Blue

Hello BlueHuman and welcome to Seven Forums.

Try going to control panel > folder options > general tab. See if the "Single click to open an item" is selected. If so you can change when or if items are underlined.

It seems you are not alone in wanting a fix for this, not sure if there is one though,

The fix - dunno. But I believe the reason is that the html format in IE8, on several pages, does not see the underlines, but shows spaces instead. What you have downloaded is the correct format.
