IE9 Won't uninstall I logged on like any other day, and IE had the MSN homepage set. (I installed IE9 optimized for Bing and MSN) Usually it's YouTube. Also, when I go to click a link in for example Windows Live Mail or Skype it will open in IE9 64-bit. I've tried resetting the advanced settings and default programs ect. still haven't been able to fix this. Whatever happened | My System Specs |

Might have answered your own question as to why it reset itself there.

Well, the good news is that you may be able to undo it. You can either uninstall IE9 and reinstall the previous version of IE9, without the modification, or if that's not possible, do a System Restore to a date just prior to your IE upgrade. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavillion dv5t (generation 1) OS Vista 64 bit and 32 bit (SP2) CPU Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T9400 (2.53 GHz Memory 4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm) Graphics Card 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT Monitor(s) Displays 15.4" diagonal WSXGA+ High-Definition HP BrightView Widescre Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Built-in HP Mouse Built in - Synaptics TouchPad V6.5 on PS/2 Port Hard Drives 320GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection Internet Speed Max Other Info ~ Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-card w/Bluetooth ~ Blu-Ray ROM DVD+/-R/RW ~ Integ. I overwrite old system images on my backup drive. But I tried uninstalling IE9 and every time I try it gives me no browser at all. IE9 Won't uninstall Every time I go to uninstall IE9, I get no browser at all. It leaves a hole too, icons on my desktop are missing and whenever I go into control panel for example and navigate somewhere it brings up a new window.I "accidentally" installed IE9 optimized for Bing and MSN which keeps changing my homepage, so all I want is the normal IE9. Here are the things I've tried: Restarting after uninstalling IE, going into Windows Features to see if it's disabled and uninstalling literally every add-on for IE9. I did look at the tutorial (That's where I learned how to uninstall it) but it doesn't help. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop OS 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Motherboard Asus M4A89GTD Pro Memory Corsair XMS3 8GB DDr3 1600MHz Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB Sound Card Asus Xonar DX Monitor(s) Displays Acer V243HAObd Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Mionix Zibal 60 Mouse Mionix Naos 5000 PSU Cooler Master GX650 Case Silverstone Raven 3 RV03B-W Cooling Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom Hard Drives Seagate 320GB - WD Caviar Black 1TB @ SATA III 6Gb/s - WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATA-III 6Gb/s Internet Speed 31+MB/s Down, 3+MB/s Up Antivirus Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 Browser Internet Explorer |
