    Thunderbird and Yahoo! Mail?

I was working on a client's system today (he has Vista Home
Premium x64) and Yahoo Mail was being a bit of a PITA trying
to go through windows live mail (default client in Vista).

I'm thinking about going with Mozilla Thunderbird, has anyone
run into any issues using Thunderbird with Yahoo! Mail?

    thanks

Never tried it with Yahoo but never had any problems with Hotmail in Thunderbird once set up. You will need this extension first,

    WebMail

The ability to access Yahoo! Mail via Windows Live Mail is only available to customers of Yahoo! Mail Plus service.

After having Yahoo!Mail Plus, you can use the following tutorial to set up the account in Windows Live Mail.......

There is YPOPs! which is supposed to set up a free Yahoo! Mail account in Windows Live Mail using YPOPs! ( I can't vouch for that )

Note : The article also mentions Yahoo!Mail Plus and YPOP!
    excerpt :
The answer is the YPOPs! open-source application, which runs in the background and simulates a browser to provide an interface via POP to download your email into a desktop client.
Important Note: This utility most likely violates the Yahoo! terms and could potentially result in your account being terminated, so use at your own risk. If you are worried about this, you can get POP access with Yahoo! Mail Plus for $20 / year.
