Win 7 sp 0 Issues with flash 10.3 viewer size too small IE8 and Chrome

    Like the title states ...

HP pavilion p6680t win 7 home premium no service pack but up to date.'
IE8 and Chrome kept up to date as well. latest versions.
    No java.

When I use the noaa enhanced doppler radar site page here... and use the looping feature the viewer size is almost 40% smaller than the snap shot picture is correct size.

    Link here:

NWS radar image from Greer, SC

you will see two selections under "reflectivity" composite and loop.
The composite is the snap shot still picture without flash and loop is enabled using flash.

If everything is working correctly the size of the viewer for each should be the same . In my case the viewer is about 40% smaller.

I have tried to do the CTRL + and it WILL increase the size of the rest of the page BUT NOT the viewer size.

Just to be sure I checked this on my old Win XP home sp 3 and they render correctly on both IE6 and Chrome.

    Any suggestions?

From the page source, there is Java script relating to sizes. I don't mean to imply I understand it, but try installing and updating Java.
win 7 SP1 has been working well.

    Britton:

I wondered about this....I don't have java enabled on this PC.....

but I didn't think that the two were related.

That being said the actual viewer displays video just fine as you would expect.

I will go ahead and enable java and get back to you.

    Thanks.

I'm not a computer wiz but I suspected that java may be necessary on some sites with flash..

I will say that compared to some folks with disasters from flash 10.3 not working with ie9 and then also rendering all flash functions inoperable I'm not going to complain too much .

    Sorry for my absence
I have SP1, Java, and Shockwave all installled and the loop and still images are the same size here. The loop does seem to drop a bit on the page though.
Have you installed SP1 yet? I don;t know if there is anything in it that will help, but...?
