    Chrome About:Flags

Just curious to know in "about flags" there is an option "override software rendering" - enabling GPU rendering on unsupported system configuration.

Just curious what exactly this does? Doesn't IE9 use GPU rendering on all pages as well by default?

    Thanks

IE9 does have Hardware Acceleration set to On by default, yes. But if it detects an older GFX card that doesn't support HA, it will just use software instead.

So that line here - "override software rendering" - enabling GPU rendering on unsupported system configuration. I would assume means it's for using/forcing HA on an unsupported configuration/card.
