    IE9 is not installing

I'm having trouble getting Internet Explorer 9 to install on my Windows 7 machine, I have installed ALL updates and disabled my antivirus and firewall but I'm still getting a message....

"Internet Explorer did not finish installing.

For more information, see the Internet Explorer Troubleshooter. This link is also on your desktop for later reference."

Have you checked that there are no other updates that haven't finished installing as that can mess things up.

Did you download IE9 through Windows Udates or a third-party provider?

You might want to check in Start>Control Panel>Programs>Programs &Features>Turn Windows Features On Or Off and see if IE8 is still showing. If it is, disable it, and then try installing IE9.

Also, is UAC showing on your desktop asking for permission to install IE9?

I'd make sure that IE9 is uninstalled using the steps in this Microsoft article.

How do I install or uninstall Internet Explorer 9?

Once IE8 is reinstalled I'd run Disk Cleanup or a 3rd party tool like CCleaner to make sure all temp files and other problems are removed. (If you choose to download CCleaner use the "Download from Piriform.com" link.)

Disk Cleanup - Open and Use

    CCleaner - Download

The I'd try reinstalling IE9 using the steps in the above Microsoft article.
