Is there a way to set up a feature to automatically clear my browsing history?

Not sure if windows does that of is my Firefox would do that.

    thanks

    Linda

If you go to tools and options on your ie browser, there is an options to delete browsing history on exit that you can check.

Internet Explorer - Delete browsing history on exit

Hi linda, take a look at this: Setup CCleaner to Automatically Run Each Night in Windows 7, Vista or XP - How-To Geek

Ccleaner also cleans loads of other stuff as well though.. so make sure you set it up manually at least once, to make sure it's not clearing stuff you don't want it to.

I could be dead wrong, but I don't think there is a built-in program/feature that will do that.

Suggest that you use InPrivate Browsing.
InPrivate Browsing does not keep browsing history. So, there is nothing to delete.
( A hacker can still be able to retreive your browsing history, but unless your are some really BIG Cheese, it won't happen to you.)

    InPrivate Browsing......
Just simply open Internet Explorer > Tools > InPrivate Browsing...

Internet Explorer InPrivate Browsing Enable or Disable

    Internet Explorer InPrivate Browsing Shortcut

    I don't use FireFox.

InPrivate works on Firefox too, you just press CTRL-SHIFT-P once you've launched.

So with In private nothing is saved...seems like that would make it harder to find things the next time if noting is saved. Guess I could try it and always can change back.

    Thanks

    You can't have both.

There's nothing to change back. Once you exit the browser, you are back to normal.

    excerpt...........
InPrivate Browsing helps prevent Internet Explorer from storing data about your browsing session. This includes cookies, temporary Internet files, history, and other data. Toolbars and extensions are disabled by default. See Help for more information.
To turn off InPrivate Browsing, close this browser window.
