    Hello Leah.

Have you checked Windows Update, in the Windows 7 Start Menu, All Programs to see if it offers updates for Silvelight?

    Hello Leah,

You might see if download and installing the standalone Adobe Flash EXE installer towards the bottom of the link below to see if they may be able to install for you and update your Adobe Flash.

    Hope this helps,

I uninstalled adobe flash player then installed the
Flash_Player_10_ActiveX (Internet Explorer for Windows only)

    Flash_Player_10_Plugin (All other Windows browsers)
and I went to youtube and I can't veiw any videos, and barefootkid I don't really understand waht you mean, because it's not letting me install silverlight because it says I already have it installed then I uninstalled and it and redownloaded it worked and all but its still saying I have to instal silverlight add-on when I did, to watch my show.

I assume this is IE since you mentioned Silverlight.

When you go to a website and is says you need to install the latest flash, is there a blue circle with a slash (Not sign) on the right side of the address bar? If so click it and then select "turn off active X filtering".

If you want to make that permanent, add that site to the "trusted sites" list and you shouldn't ever have to do it again for that particular site.

If there is NO blue circle with a slash symbol then maybe you lowered your internet zone permissions, putting the site into the trusted zone list may also work then).

The site is already in the Trusted zone.

what about in internet options/security (tab)? how have you set those security settings?

Unless you already have, try uninstalling adobe flash and silverlight, restart, then go to the adobe website and install flash, then click your windows update and select to install silverlight

Do you use inprivate browsing, and if so, have you disabled extensions, or whatever it says?

*EDIT* Which IE are you using, 64bit or 32 bit?
Make sure you are actually using the one you want. if 32bit, it needs 32 bit flash. if 64 bit, it needs a special 64 bit Beta flash from adobe

    32bit flash: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    64bit Flash Square: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flas...10_square.html

Even in the trusted zone, do you get the blue circle and slash on the address bar? (Active X may still be off in the trusted zone or even overridden by the "Safety" -> "Active X Filtering")

Ok... I'm at a loss then 99% of the time when it says "You need to install the latest version of flash" (similar with silverlight) it's because active X is turned off or being blocked. Maybe you have a firewall program that is filtering your html? It's probably going to be something like that :/
