    Laptop Screen Size

Up to yesterday when I opened IE9 I would start with a full screen.

Today when I open IE9 it only opens half of the screen and I need to use
the maximize box to get a full screen.

    Anybody know what happened.

    Thanks

Check in Control Panel and then Display where you can adjust your screen.

Post back if more help is required.

If the problem continues, rather than maximizing the IE window with the Maximize (X) icon (which disallows some of the functions you normally have), use one of these other methods to permanently maximize your window:

    1. Right-click the Desktop IE icon or IE in the Start Menu, and click on Properties at bottom of the menu. In the Properties window select the Shortcut tab. Open the ‘Run’ drop-down menu and select: Maximized. Hit: Apply, OK

    2. Maximize the IE page with the Maximize 1 icon, then hold Shift and close with the X. Next time it opens it should be maximized.

    3. Maximize your IE window size by dragging each of the 4 edges of the window all the way out to the edges of the screen. Then hold down the Alt key and press the "X" close button. Next time you open that link it should open in the maximized size, the way it was when you closed it!

    4. Maximize your IE window size by dragging each of the 4 edges of the window all the way out to the edges of the screen. Then, while holding the Ctrl + Shift keys, close it by clicking File, Close. You might have to do it a few times to make it learn. If this doesn't work, try again, but this time, still holding the Ctrl + Shift keys, close they maximized window using the X icon.

Sorry I spoke too soon I discovered something else

I use a HP DV7-1246 17" notebook screen and a Acer 1122 11.6" netbook and both are using the FIOS router, hardwire/WIFI.

If I change the 17" to load a full page it works per previous posts on this thread.

When I do this and then turn on the 11.6" and use WIFI upstairs the screen on this
netbook starts with a half screen. When I change the netbook to full screen it works
but the 17" reverts to a half screen.

I realize this is no big deal but my curiosity is aroused.

    Thanks
