Internet Explorer (8 or 9) confused

When I open IE my homepage is 'my.msn.com" Since there is a login validation, I usually see the "Continue" action. I then go out to some other site but usually when done backtrack to my homepage. If I right click on the back arrow, the order of sites I have been too is messed up many times. First is a continue then maybe the MSN site but other times the most recent site I was on moves down into the 1st position. Other times, if I go back to MSN, I get not one but two continue pages in the history. When I check my hotmail account, it really gets messed up as to how many pages I have been on reading and handling my mail messages. I noticed this first with IE8 and the problem continues with IE9.
If I use Firefox, I do not have this problem. The history is correct and the number of pages is also correct.
Cannot find a website to register this problem with MS so they can look at it.

I guess I don't really understand why you need to use the back arrow at all. MSN can be used by right clicking on any item and choosing "open in new tab" so as not to loose the list of options. Hotmail has its own navigation on the left side and it's easy to distinguish betwwen read and unread mail since the unread items are in bold type.

What I was trying to explain was if I start at My.MSN.com and go out to any other website (site 2) and then go to another site (site 3) if I look at the Back arrow history (what sites have I been on) IE 8 and 9 both fail to list the previous sites correctly. I do not see this problem with any other browser, just the last two versions of IE.

As a work around you could (besides using another browser) use the Favorites/History menu. Personally, I keep a long list of often-visited sites in my home page drop down list on the command bar and another list of sites "pinned" to IE so I can find them quickly from the task bar's "drop up" menu for IE. And there is always the desktop. But the most reliable way to create a chronological history of visited sites is to right click and "open in new tab"

I understand the work around. The purpose of this post was to (1) see if anyone else has seen the same things happening with IE8/9 or is it just my copy and (2) see if anyone knows where I can report this problem to Microsoft. The usual support channels for software do not exist for Internet Explorer or if they do, I cannot find them. I just want to make sure that Microsoft knows about this problem so they can work on resolving it since in my view, the problem has continued from 8 into 9.
