Close all windows except the windows explorer, can you delete them now ?

If not, try right click at eah file > click Take Ownership > then delete.

If you don't have Take Ownership in your right click context menu, use this tutorial to install it :

Take Ownership Shortcut

The tutorial applies to both Vista and Win 7.

None of the suggestions given to you will blow up your computer if they do not work.
Pick one and try it.
If no help, go on to the next suggestion.
