    IE8 vs FF3.5 vs IE7?

i like IE8. but recently i've noticed that it was eating my resources. 100,000K per tab? wtf? so i thought of switching to IE7. but, i've been a fan of firefox too. i wanted to try FF3.5. but i've read that it's slower than the previous.
so, can you tell me which of the three is better? or do I have a memory leak in my IE8? hmmm.

    thanks!

Ive found FF 3.5 fast enough tbh and havent noticed it to be much slow. Im not aware that you can install IE7 in Win 7.

    Hey rakcs

Ok mem use will vary on any browser dependant on addons, tabs, and other factors. That being said FF 3.5.1 for add-ons, ease of use, and its quick enough out of the box. there are also tweaks to make it really fast.

BTW FF can use as much as 250Mb of ram if you have 8 tabs, and 15 addons like I do

    Hope this helps

Personally for me, it's Firefox all the way...even if 1 particular version or update causes it to run a bit slower than previous versions. The reason...plain and simple.....ADD-ONS. I use quite a number of firefox add-ons and without them, my browser is nowhere near as functional to me. My browser and it's add-ons have replaced quite a number of third party apps that I had once installed on the PC.

thanks. i will try all of them.

as of now im using chrome. im testing it if it still gives me the same crashes and errors with my vista. im not much into add ons. i only use flash player. and for firefox, i use noscript on FF3 even if it causes it to slowdown a bit. i just hate the ads. i already tried opera before, but i hate it when downloads are too slow.

    thanks again. cheers!
