Windows 7: Better way of handling my mail

I have the following experience ready to share as I have about 30 different email accounts set up (no judging please, I am an email freak who sees every opportunity to have the best email address...). I use Y!, Live and Hotmail, Google as well as local email providers. I channel all (this truly means ALL) possible email from all my accounts to a single Gmail account which I like referring to as my email server.

Some answers I know for sure:

Yes, I currently use my Live email address as my primary, but I have not logged in to my Live account for half a year or more. Gmail takes my Live email messages via POP. I also have set up my default reply-to in Gmail to be my Live email address (this is easily done with a one-time verification of your Live email address by Gmail).

I receive (on the spot) any email sent to my Live account and then reply wiht the same Live email address - all done through Gmail. In addition you can set up filters in Gmail for where mail from your numerous accounts is placed - I have email from Live to arrive straight into my inbox and be treated as if any message sent directly to my Gmail account would appear.

Yes. I do not have an iPhone but use an Android. As far as the Gmail app in Android goes, I receive all email destined for my Gmail account (regardless POP, Forward, or direct) in my Gmail app. I can also reply with any email address I choose (one-time verification required) and set the default reply-to adddress (which can be different from the email address I have chosen to send the email from).
Interesting fact with Gmail is that it will allow you to use the sending server of Live directly, so that there is no trace of your actual Gmail address (even serverwise).
