Hmm... I've been using Chrome for a year or two now and I'm not having any problems. I use it on both my 32 and 64-bit Windows 7 systems as well as my XP box. The only issue I have is with one of my bank sites not being compatible with Chrome. If it weren't for that I'd stay with only Chrome. I occasionally go play with the other browsers to see if there's anything that draws me away but I'm always drawn back to the simple and FAST front-end that Chrome presents.
However ... the next best one that I've seen is Firefox. It's a superior browser. Give it a look.
You will run into many opinions on this. It's the same deal as programmers and their editors... it becomes very religious!

It really is down to personal choice.
I use IE9 and get on fine with it. Didn't bother with any other browser because I need Internet Explorer for my online banking and so far it hasn't let me down. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion Elite 495UK OS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-Bit CPU Intel Core i7 870 @ 2.93GHz Motherboard MSI 2A9C (CPU1) Memory 8Gb Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz Graphics Card nVidia GeForce GTX 460 1024MB dedicated RAM Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays HP2310i Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech K750 solar-powered keyboard Mouse Logitech Wireless M180 mouse PSU 460W Case HP Elite Cooling Air cooled Hard Drives 1x1954GB Hitachi HDS22020ALA 330 (RAID), 1x1954GB Hitachi External for backup and storage Internet Speed 2Mb Other Info Pure Avanti Flow Internet Radio with iPod Dock, 64Gb iPod, HP USB Speakers, Sony MDR-V500 Headphones, Sony Vaio F-Series Laptop |

You have options like Opera or Safari (You probably don't want Safari).
Search "Browser Choice" through a search engine, it will show you allot of browsers that no one's heard of. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop OS 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Motherboard Asus M4A89GTD Pro Memory Corsair XMS3 8GB DDr3 1600MHz Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB Sound Card Asus Xonar DX Monitor(s) Displays Acer V243HAObd Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Mionix Zibal 60 Mouse Mionix Naos 5000 PSU Cooler Master GX650 Case Silverstone Raven 3 RV03B-W Cooling Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom Hard Drives Seagate 320GB - WD Caviar Black 1TB @ SATA III 6Gb/s - WD Caviar Blue 500GB SATA-III 6Gb/s Internet Speed 31+MB/s Down, 3+MB/s Up Antivirus Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 Browser Internet Explorer |

I used to use Internet Explorer. I've been using Firefox for a couple of years, but don't generally like the idea of add-ons and constant updates. So I am kind of looking for an alternative. All I want is stability, few issues, and reasonable security. I don't care about fancy new "features".
Yesterday I tried Chrome and gave up quickly because one of my must-have websites displayed very incorrectly.
I looked at Internet Explorer 9. The configuration controls looked much like they did on IE 7---far too many of them. I didn't really spend much time on it.
I'll continue to suffer with Firefox, but if I had to change now, I'd go back to IE and just accept most or all of the default configuration. I can't stand to constantly be tweaking stuff in the name of security. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;
