| Windows 7 Professional 64 bit Retail 140 posts Boise | Getting rid of Bing On FF, I used to be able to type in a partial url and FF would get the rest and go there. Now, Bing interrupts, forcing me to type the entire url. I've removed Bing from the search engine list but that didn't help. How do I get rid of Bing? BTW, since the last MS update, it also infiltrated FF and made MSM my home page. This is making me think about going back to Linux. |

| Win7 x 6 PC's 36,543 posts California, Florida, Boston | Look in Control Panel>Programs and Features for any Bing listings to uninstall. Make sure you removed Bing from the Search Engine list completely, replaced it with Google set to Default, and Bing didn't return. |

| Windows 7 Professional 64 bit Retail 140 posts Boise | Fixed about:config keyword.URL - Google Search yea! Screw you MS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW, they also mangled Chrome. Maybe it's time to move on. Back to Linux. |
