even when i select the desktop as the location, my computer always stores it somewhere else. how do i correct this so that files will save to the desktop?

Generally you click "Save As" then browse to you desktop icon and it should download and save the file there.

When you save one of these files to the Desktop, where does it actually go in your system? Are you able to go into Windows Explorer and move this file into the Desktop folder within Windows Explorer? If so, does the file then show up on your Desktop?
