Firefox (Nightly 9.0a1) Zoom setting is different on each tab.

New tab windows open at a different Zoom width than the one I just set on an existing tab.

For example. I set the "Sevenforums.com" green margins to cover my widescreen |<.....>| display on my 24" monitor. But all other tabs open at a smaller Zoom |...<.>...|value. Then, I have to zoom in to desired width.

Looked for a preference setting in the options section but can't find any.

Is there an "About:config" setting I can set/tweak so all tabs open at the same width?; or a good Add-on that will help?.

The problem is you wont use the exact same setting for each tab. SF might require one, MSN another, Yahoo a third, so though you can change about:config it wont be any more flexible than the current one.

Does this happen every-time you launch Nightly? On all tabs (or just some)? what build of Nightly are you running?

Don't know about any add-ons, but these are the only zoom settings in about:config,

Not sure but I think if you change the "siteSpecific" setting to false then it will apply to all sites/tabs. If that doesn't do it try with increasing the "minPercent" till all open where you want them.

Yes, it happens every time I launch Nightly.

It happens for tabs opened from my Bookmarks list and/or from Google search result links. Basically new tabs. If link opens on same Zoomed tab, it remains as set.

Currently using 9.0a1 (2011-09-03), the latest. Also noticed with 8.0. Unfortunately I don't remember if it happened with 7.0 or lower versions.

As Stormy13 has said the only "setting" is to toggle the setting from false to true but that would be the same for every site so not of much help.

Agree. That's what happened after I toggled the value.

A partial work around is to open and Zoom each of my Bookmarks so the browser remembers the page setting. Unfortunately, this does not solve the issue with links opened from a search result.

Increased the Min/Max Percent settings that Stormy13 suggested but they don't solve the problem.

Looked here "http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_:_FAQs_:_About:config_Entries#Browser." but some entries are beyond my knowledge and could not figure out if the Zoom setting can be changed for all tabs equally.

Again what you are looking for is a different setting for each and there doesnt appear to be a "one size fits all"
