    Browser fonts messed up

Hi, I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with SP1. I recently downloaded and installed a game, then uninstalled it. Windows left behind in the game's folder a folder named Fonts, and in that folder where three .ttf files - one was Arial, and the others were Arial flavors (can't remember exactly what). I couldn't delete the files - Windows said they were in use. So I rebooted, then could delete them. All good. Next time I booted, the fonts on my browsers (both Firefox and IE) seem to have gone berserk. The font on Google and Wikipedia is a lot bolder and larger than it previously was. It's also affected my Word, which now thinks Arial font is bold and italicised. I thought that the font registration in the registry might have come unstuck, so I went to c:\windows\fonts and copied all the fonts in it to another folder. Then I copied them back and it asked me if I wanted to reinstall all the fonts, so I said yes. It appeared to do so...but it hasn't fixed the problem. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance.

    Forget it

    Hi,

Solved this problem by a system restore.

Thanks everyone anyway - mods, feel free to delete this thread entirely.
