    Anyone having IE8 saying not responding on windows 7


    I am windows 7 IE8
    keep getting internet explorer (not responding)
    so i have to wait
    then i click
    and i am back on track

    I was told by others that it is a windows 7 issue...
    as there is nothing wrong with my computer

    You could try disabling your IE8 add-ons then re-enable them one at a time to try and track down if any are causing the problem.

    That said, have you considered upgrading to IE9?

    To be honest it's probably a browser issue, at least as far as my own experience goes. Try upgrading to Internet Explorer 9 or switching to another popular browser such as Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari or Opera. I could never get IE8 to stop failing to respond, but someone else may be able to help you if you really don't want to switch browsers (:

    Hi. How do I disable my add ons.. dont know where to find them lol ..sorry a bit challenged with computers ....
    really today dont want to change to IE 9
    I will eventually

    Evairfairy ..thank you.. but really dont want to change to IE 9 right now and dont want to change to another browser
    this only started yesterday....so it might be a browser issue and they may be working on it....

    cocod2 Upgrading to another browser really is quite painless and doesn't take much time, if you're going to change eventually you might as well do it now (: Anyway, try reading through this article on managing IE7 and IE8 addons.

    I have had IE 8 for a long time and about a month ago I started getting that problem. I tend to think it must be an update that has caused it.
