Windows 7: IE9 doesn't check for newer pages.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit and Internet explorer 9.

I have a some embeded flash images on the index page of my website that I change from time to time.

The default factory setting in IE9 to check for newer pages is "automatic" but this setting doesn't seem to work. When my flash images have been changed in any way and uploaded, the browser still shows the previous flash image.

The only way I can get round the problem is to tick the settings box in IE9 to "check for a newer version every time I visit the webpage". This is not really a solution though because people viewing my pages thru IE9 will more than likely have the settings to default and won't see the changed content.

I have written "no cache" into the HTML code of the page but this has made no difference.

Any help would be appreciated.
