downloads I'm trying to download a program which says "It's a free download" however when I try and save it, it only gives me about 2%. Adobe Reader X and just about any so called free download. You have to be connected to the Internet otherwise you can't get it and this is on most so called free download because I try and download so I can take it to another computer which is a stand-alone. It seems like you can't do anything without being connected to the Web including playing games and so forth. It looks like our society doesn't want you to do anything on your computer without big brother knowing about it. Maybe someone can tell why this is? | My System Specs |

You can find standalone files of Adobe reader if you look hard, this is an attempt to save bandwidth because using their downloader you can't use multiple connections to download their file, it's not a conspiracy to watch you or anyone else, as for games this is a form of DRM to keep your from downloading pirated games, it's a bad thing if you're used to buy original games, but if you like steam you can just set it to offline mode and be good, so not a big deal at all | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU i7 960 3.2Ghz Motherboard P6X58D-E Memory 6GB of DDR3 Corsair TR3 1600 Graphics Card nVidia GTX 580 Sound Card Onboard Monitor(s) Displays LG W2353V Screen Resolution 1080p Keyboard Kemex (I have to buy a new one, if I remember...) Mouse Gamer 3200DPI PSU XFX Pro 750 80% Gold Case Thermaltake V3 Black Edition Cooling Intel standard cooling system (why I didn't overclock) Hard Drives 2X Seagate 2TB
1X Samsung 1TB Internet Speed 4MB Other Info Most of my games are on steam (not anymore, DTD, Games for windows, gammersgate, Origins... it's all over the place now) |
