Windows Live Mail - Error
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 & WLMail 2011, build 15.4.3538.0513

Each time WLM finishes searching for new messages it gives the following error window:





The error always shows up on the last email account installed. I proved this by uninstalling two accounts & reinstalling them in reverse order.

If all news groups are prevented for searching for new messages the error does not occur. Of course this means that the News Groups are not updated.

Can anyone throw any light on the matter please.

Go to Control Panel-Programs and Features. Click on Windows Live Essentials and do a Repair and see it it helps.

This may be unrelated to your issue, but you should realize that you can create a different name for each mail accout using the first box in the general tab of the account properties.

I was aware of this but just being lazy by not changing them.

I posted this WLM error in case it helped someone else.

A further observation is that one or more WLM folders kept appearing in the recycle bin but as Windows Live Mail 2011 seems to have a number of problems & things missing from previous versions, I have reverted to WLM 2009 (Build 14.0.8117.0416) & everything is back as it should be.

Though I can't mark it as solved, I appreciate the suggestions from those that replied.
