Windows 7: Internet Explorer has stopped working

Hi, i am hoping someone can offer me some advice.

I have a new laptop with windows 7 installed and Internet Explorer 9 being used.

I have checked various options thats other have posted but they do not appear to be resolving the problem.

Typical example f the problem....

I get an email with a link, click and the link opens within browser. If the link then has a document witin it to open (I think they are PDF'S) the browser comes up with the following message:

A problem caused prog to stop working - it then asks you to close the page.


I have tried resetting default settings i have tried No add ons and the problem still persists.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I can't give you advices, but i can just say that i have the exact same problem... i'm trying to get answers but so far, not helpfull...just want to let you know that your not alone.
Just tell me something... is all ok when you try to open videos in your WMP?
I«m asking that because in my case the same happens with other programs, specially audio and video an i«m trying to figure out if the to problems are related.

I have just checked and there does not appear to be any problems with videos or links for example to Utube in my case anyway! Sorry i cant be of further help but lets hope someone can offer some advice!
