Windows Live Mail Does Not Block Email Classified As Junk In Windows Live Mail (Windows 7) I keep getting email in my junk email folder that I have added to the blocked senders tab in Safety Options under Junk Mail. I have added both the domain name and the actual email address.
I googled this problem and the only solution was to go into Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features>Windows Live Essentials 2011 and do a repair. I have tried this twice and it does not work.
Does anyone know of anything that will work? | My System Specs |

That's the way it works--Blocked senders will always be put into the Junk folder.
You can set an option to automatically delete Junk messages but you then rely on the junk rules to make a valid decision on incoming messages. It could delete messages deemed as junk simply because of content or frequency from a friend or other valid senders. You can limit this by settings in the Safe Sender table. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Built 2/11/2011 OS Windows 7 Pro-x64 CPU i7-2600 3.4GHz - 3.8GHz Turbo Motherboard Intel DH67BL-B3 Memory 8Gb - 2x4GB, Muskin 991770 PC3-1333 Graphics Card Integrated Intel HD 2000 Sound Card Integrated Intel 10.1 HD, RealTek ALC892 Monitor(s) Displays Asus LCD VH222H, Haier HL24XSL2a Screen Resolution 1920x1080, 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech EX100 Wireless Mouse Logitech EX100 Wireless PSU Seasonic 650W 80+ Gold Modular Case Rosewill Defender Cooling Stock CPU, Four 120mm case fans, PCH fan added Hard Drives Crucial C300-128Gb,

The only way to get WLM to block certain senders is to sign in with a W Live ID. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Look in my Signature. OS Win7 H.Prem. 32bit+SP1 |

Thanks for the explanation!
I thought that block meant Live Mail would not received them at all, not block them from my inbox and put them in my junk box. | My System Specs | | OS Win7 Ult 64b CPU i7 950 Motherboard P6T Deluxe v2 Memory Mushkin Redline #998691 DDR3 1600MHz @ 6-7-6-18 Graphics Card BFG GTX 285OCFU Monitor(s) Displays Asus VW266H PSU Corsair 850TX Case HAF-932 Cooling TRUE Rev C w/ Delta FFB1212EH-PWM Fan Hard Drives Seagate 7,200 RPM 750GB

For me, the junk mail has really dropped off. I think the ISPs are doing a better job of blocking big offenders. I like being able to make a managed decision on what's in the Junk folder though. And, MS-LM makes it easy to delete the items or move them back to the Inbox. I still go back to my ISP mail handler and check that junk box about once a week or so. I prefer to make the final decision. Beats missing an important email. But I understand your point of a "blocked sender". The thing is, as the blocks can be at the domain level there could be a good one in there too.
