Missing Percentage Notifier in System Bar Area

I have been using Windows 7 for months now and having no problems. But about a week ago I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to IE9. At first, things went well, no major changes. But then a few nights ago, I got some upgrades and now, I have lost the % percentage bar on the right of the screen for screen size.

I am visually handicapped and use the mouse and the control key all the time to read websites, etc. in an enlarged view. But not everyone is like me. I have a website of my own, and to be able to decorate it, I need to be sure I am at 100% resolution on Google, either in IE or FF to be sure I don't mess up.

Well, anyway, last night I had a few normal upgrades and installed them and now I have lost that notifier for the percentage of the screen size I am seeing over on the right side above the System tray.

I spent about an hour online trying to find a fix and couldn't, so here I am. Please help. JJ

Any time you do updates/fixes it makes it difficult to know what made the change. Simply because more than one thing is changed. You could look on Microsoft Knowledge Base and see if anyone is making the same complaint:

I don't know much about IE. I used to use MaxThon, which uses the IE engine but had tabs years ago. It also has tons of user-written extensions. You may find a customization that does something similar or even better than the function you lost:

Hello JJ,

While in IE9, right click on a empty area of the toolbar at the top of IE9, then click on Status bar to check it. That should return the status bar at the bottom of IE9, and have the % of zoom level for IE9 at the bottom right corner now as well.

Here are some alternative ways to check the % of zoom level in IE9 as well.

Internet Explorer Zoom Level

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Brink: You are a wizard! Thanks for your knowledge. I thought I was going to have to do a sys restore to get this little jewel back on my screen.
