Lose IE9 Connection - still have Network connection

Hi All,

I have a Dell 1750 laptop running a wireless connection and also have a desktop running the same in my computer room. I have Hight Speed Internet service. I'm using IE9 and started having problems with losing my browser (web page) but still maintaining my network connection (both wireless and direct connection). This is an intermitent problem with the web pages unalbe to connect to different pages but later I was able to connect to those pages. However, I never lose my network and wireless connection.

It's very frustrating having to wait several minutes to reconnect/reach those web pages. I've optimized and cleaned temp and other junk files up but still have the same issue.

I also tried using Google Chrome but will have the same issue.

Any help or recommendations will be appreciated.

Hello Shadow4845 and welcome to Seven Forums.

My usual disclaimer: I'm not an expert at anything! It sounds like this might be a hardware acceleration issue. Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced tab. Look under Accelerated Graphics > "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering". If the box is unchecked, try checking it. (Or if it's checked, try unchecking it.) You'll have to restart your computer for the change to take effect.

Please post back and let us know if this helps or not.

Thanks Team Seven for your quick post and help. Unfortunately the suggested fix to IE9 browser didn't correct this issue as it still persisted in both Google and IE9.

After a few hours of troubleshooting and frustration, I bypassed my new NetGear 300N router and directly connected to the modem and was able to connect to websites with both browsers (@@). I'm replacing the Netgear 300N and also a new High Speed modem within the next couple days.

Quick note: I've had nothing but problems with LinSys router Wireless N router the past year or so and decided to go with Netgear. Ummmm!!! Wow, what a start for my new router. I definetly need my router for my home network and vongage phone. The reason I decided to change my modem out after 5 years was because of it's degradation in performance and also to support my upgrade to my High Speed Internet.

Thanks again for the help and I will try to contribute a bit more to formum.
